Round-up review: our score and verdict are based on published specs and reviews from across the web, not our own play-testing yet.

The Court FF 3 is Djokovic’s shoe: ASICS’s most stable, locked-in model, built for aggressive movers who sprint corner to corner and slide into shots on hard courts. It suits players with narrow to medium feet who want maximum support and durability and will carry the extra weight to get it.

Fit and feel

RunRepeat scored it 93 out of 100 and ranks it first of the tennis shoes in its lab, with stability at 97. The one-piece Mono-Sock upper gives a snug, one-to-one fit that the lab found tight for medium-width feet and rules out for wide feet entirely, though Tennis Warehouse’s Jason got his E-width feet in without complaint. Tennis Warehouse scored comfort 9.2, with Troy and Chris both finding the FlyteFoam ride plusher and a touch higher off the court than the Gel-Resolution 9. The catch is getting the shoe on: the bootie opening is small, and that is the only negative in the whole review.

Cushioning and stability

RunRepeat measured a 32.2 mm heel stack, among the thickest it has seen, on a 10.4 mm drop. Torsional rigidity scored the maximum 5 out of 5 thanks to the TPU TwisTruss cage around the midfoot. Tennis Warehouse scored support 9.2 and traction 9.2: the outsole is slick enough to slide in but bites when you push off, and Jason called them the easiest shoes to slide in since the Court FF 2.

Like a bucket seat with a five-point harness: your feet aren’t going anywhere.

Durability

The AHAR Plus outsole measured 85.3 HC and gave RunRepeat abrasion resistance it calls second to none; toebox durability scored a full 5. Mark had 25 hours on his pair with plenty of outsole left. The weak point is the inner heel lining, which the lab’s drill holed in four seconds for a 2 out of 5. Breathability is average at 3 out of 5, and at 406 g this is a heavy shoe.

Verdict

The most stable shoe ASICS makes and one of the toughest: buy it if you attack and slide. Wide feet, hot feet and anyone wanting a nimble shoe should look at the Gel-Resolution 9 or Solution Speed FF 3.
