The seventh-generation VCORE 100 has been on sale since 2023, and Yonex hasn’t replaced it yet. It suits intermediate to advanced all-court players who prioritise spin and stability, and who like to vary pace between heavy topspin and flatter, sliced shots.
How it plays
Topspin generation is a clear strength, produced easily and paired with good stability for a relatively light frame, so it doesn’t get knocked around in firm rallies. The sweet spot is noticeably larger and more forgiving than the previous generation. Added dampening mesh in the frame also helps with comfort and security on slice and flatter strokes.
What reviewers agree and disagree on
The verdict is consistently positive: an increased sweet spot, genuine comfort, and plenty of topspin on tap are the recurring themes. The one recurring criticism is touch and feel at net, particularly on delicate stop volleys, which is flagged as a relative weak point. It’s also not considered a natural fit for serve-and-volley or return-focused players, and despite the larger sweet spot it still rewards solid technique.

Verdict
A dependable, spin-friendly all-court frame that’s been left well alone since 2023 because it simply works. Net touch is the one area to test carefully before buying.
