Round-up review: our score and verdict are based on published specs and reviews from across the web, not our own play-testing yet.
The current generation of Tecnifibre’s control frame, sold as the V3 by Tecnifibre and UK retailers. It suits intermediate to advanced ball strikers who want an all-court control frame with some added pop, and it’s particularly well regarded by players with a one-handed backhand.
How it plays
Feel and touch at net and on serve stand out as the main strengths. This update added noticeably more depth and stability compared with the prior generation, without turning the frame into a power stick, thanks in part to a foam-filled beam that also helps arm comfort for its stiffness rating.
What reviewers agree and disagree on
There’s strong agreement on the feel and control credentials, and on the improved depth and stability over the previous generation. The recurring practical complaint is Tecnifibre’s proprietary angular grip shape, which several reviewers and buyers say takes some getting used to. There’s also no trap door in the handle for internal weighting, which limits customisation, and it’s a demanding swing-speed frame rather than one for true beginners.
