The eighth-generation EZONE 100 is Yonex’s fast, powerful, spin-friendly frame for intermediate and advanced players who like to take the ball early and attack. Aggressive baseliners will feel at home first, but it holds up at net and on return as well, which is why it has become one of the most popular 300 g rackets on the market.
Power you can steer
TennisCompanion’s Jon Crim gave it a combined 8.63, with serves at 9.0, manoeuvrability at 8.9 and groundstrokes at 8.8. His summary is that it produces easy depth and above-average spin without asking for maximum effort, and that the response stays predictable enough to control the extra power through topspin and target choice. The ISOMETRIC head gives a generous sweet spot that preserves pace on off-centre hits.
Serving was his favourite part. The frame swings quickly and feels snappy through contact, so flat, slice and kick serves all come easily and with variety. The 2025 update trims swingweight from 317 to 315 for a touch more handling speed and nudges stiffness from 67 to 68.
Where reviewers split
The response is firm and crisp rather than plush, and Crim lists that as the main reason it won’t suit everyone. Against heavy hitters the limitation is mass rather than stability: the frame resists twisting well but can get pushed around at net and on returns of big serves. Touch shots need softer hands than a heavier control frame.
Flat hitters may need time to adjust to the higher launch angle at speed. Tennis Warehouse’s customers aren’t complaining, with a 4.5 out of 5 average across 17 reviews.

Verdict
